The trackpad is smooth and responsive, so you can easily click on small text and UI elements on the screen.

The Windows 8 interface shows more columns and rows of tiles than a 1,366-by-768 display, and it all works fine even though text is noticeably smaller in the Internet Explorer browser, desktop mode, and other programs. In use, the IPS screen looks very good, with smooth type and icons on the screen at all times. The Gorilla Glass stills reflect the world behind you, but that's the price you'll have to pay for the damage protection. The screen measures in at 350 nits brightness, up from 300 on the previous model, plus the IPS screen gives you a better color gamut and a wide, 178-degree viewing angle. Gorilla Glass protects the 13.3-inch IPS panel, but even with these features, the chassis still manages a 0.71-inch profile.
